glimpse (n.) [glImps] 瞥見, 一瞥

skyline (n.) [‘skaI,laIn] [尤指大建築物以天空為背景的] 輪廓, 天際線
﹣a shape or view made by scenery, esp. tall city buildings, against the background of the sky.
EX: We saw a figure silhouetted against the skyline.
我們看到一個人影凸現在地平線上。
buffalo (n.) [‘bVfl,o] 水牛
﹣a large Asian and African animal of the cattle family, with long flattish curred horns.
// 規則的複數變化是加-s 或 -es,但是有些是屬於不規則的複數變化
=> 老鼠: mouse/mice,羊:sheep/sheep,水牛:buffalo/buffalo。
*buffalos是指不同種類的水牛。

EX: Global climatic changes may have been responsible for the extinction of the dinosaurs.

EX: The report takes a global view of the company's problems.
報告對該公司的問題作了綜合性的論述。
various (adj.) [‘vErIFs] 各種不同的, 各樣的

EX: There has been snow today in various parts of the country.
